ignixip is a free IP address intelligence tool. Enter any IP address or domain name to instantly see its geolocation, network owner, ISP, and whether it appears on major spam and abuse blacklists including Spamhaus, Barracuda, SpamCop and AbuseIPDB.
Network administrators, IT security professionals, and anyone who needs to quickly identify an unfamiliar IP address — whether investigating suspicious network traffic, checking email sender reputation, or verifying where a connection is coming from.
An IP address lookup queries databases to find information about an IP address — including its geographic location, the organisation that owns it, and its internet service provider. This is useful for understanding where network traffic is coming from and who controls a particular IP range.
Use the Blacklist Check tab and enter the IP address. ignixip checks it against 12 major DNS-based blacklists (DNSBLs) including Spamhaus ZEN, Barracuda BRBL and SpamCop, plus the AbuseIPDB community abuse database. A listed IP has been flagged for spam, malware, or other malicious activity.
An Autonomous System Number (ASN) identifies a network operated by a single organisation on the internet — such as an ISP, cloud provider, or large company. For example, AS15169 is Google's ASN. Knowing the ASN of an IP address tells you who operates the network it belongs to.
AbuseIPDB is a community database where network administrators report malicious IP addresses. The confidence score (0–100%) reflects how likely an IP is to be malicious based on recent reports. A score above 50% suggests the IP has been actively involved in attacks, spam, or other abuse. A score of 0% means it has not been reported.
A DNS-based blackhole list (DNSBL) is a real-time database of IP addresses associated with spam or malicious activity. Mail servers and firewalls use these lists to block unwanted traffic. Common DNSBLs include Spamhaus, Barracuda and SpamCop. Being listed on one can affect email deliverability.
Yes — enter a domain name in the IP Lookup tab and ignixip will automatically resolve it to an IP address via DNS and look up the result. The DNS Lookup tab also lets you query DNS records (A, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME) for any domain.
